ABOUT olive.a.twist
Prior to moving to Mudgee full time, Rebecca Sutton had worked her way up the kitchen ladder to be the Senior Caterer at the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation. It wasn’t a trade certificate in commercial cookery that got her there but the love of good food, many years experience working for other Caterers and in kitchens both here and abroad and the ability to see the big picture and cater to a ‘client need’.
Having originally studied a Bachelor Agricultural Science majoring in animal health and nutrition and also completing her wine studies (Sommelier), she has had contact with a lot of farmers and producers along the way and realised the potential of great quality produce – not only for flavour but also it’s freshness and superior nutritional potential. The menus of olive.a.twist tell this story.
Until recently, she owned and operated Mudgee Sourdough and the Itty Bitty Bread Shop for five years, suppling true artisan long fermented sourdough and delectable sweet treats to the greater region, cafes, accommodation and cellar doors. This legacy lives on in the now highly regarded Mudgee Sourdough Schools.
We want you to get a lot out of our meals so that you keep coming back. Not only do we want them to taste good, but to make you feel good.
